Voice Recognition
Voice recognition has come a long way over the past five years. The UniBook voice recognition engine comes in two options ( Lite and Full ).
The lite version can handle up to 1000 unique grammars. A grammar is defined as each distinct sound of a word. The number three(3) would be two grammars, the “th” sound followed by the “ree” sound. Therefore, sounds “th”+”ree” is “three” or 3 to the system. The phrase “Book my ride” would be six grammars.
The full version of voice recognition includes full address recognition for the transportation industry. This feature allows a ride to say the entire address and supports up to 12,000 grammars.
Unified Dispatch’s full address recognition package is called, “Where are U?”

Status Checks
UDI extensive research and customer interaction has enhanced our R&D effort by allowing us to determine what key features are needed in the industry. A large number of our clients were getting twice the number of phone calls as trips. We determined the majority of theses calls were from customer checking on their ride. UDI went to work developing a Status check feature.
When a customer calls in, the UniBook system checks the Caller ID and searches the dispatch system’s live trip file. If a match is found, UniBook will let the caller know that a vehicle is on its way and, if available, how many miles or minutes away. If no vehicle has been dispatched the caller may have the option to cancel the trip or be transferred to an agent. This feature alone can have a tremendous impact on the automation rates an organization obtains.
Call Outs
Call outs, trip verifications, out calls, etc. are key to many organizations; some companies make outbound calls to all their customers. Making these calls with live agents takes up valuable time and is very costly. Transportation companies are quickly realizing the value of implementing a fully automated call out system that can interact with the customer and transfer calls to a live agent.
Prepaid Card IVR Solutions
Voucher, scrip, and other paper payment have to be processes and accounted for manually. The electronic payment card has become an excellent option for replacing these antiquated paper systems, however, new issues arise with new systems. Since payment cards have balances, patrons need to inquire about the balance, increase the balance, activate a card, or report a card lost or stolen. These support issues can bring unnecessary additional calls into your call center. The UniBook system can completely automate all of these payment card functions via the phone and completely eliminate the need to speak with a live agent.
Credit and Payment Card back up system
Are you frequently plagued with vehicle card reader machines failing or your dispatch system going down and drivers are unable to process electronic credit and payment cards, or are they simply out of radio range to process cards? Drivers can call into the UniBook system to process electronic cards through your dispatch system or directly into your credit/payment card gateway; you can even process a check in a cab using this system.
