Dan Tamkin, President, is a recognized entrepreneur in the field of voice technology.  Prior to becoming President, Mr. Tamkin was the Chief Operating Officer of Unified Dispatch Inc. and ran all company operations, overseeing corporate growth from start-up to profitability.  Before Unified Dispatch, Mr. Tamkin was in charge of corporate finance at Computer Motion Inc., the world’s first medical robotics company where he developed the business model for the Hermes™ Control Center.  Hermes is the world’s first voice recognition product for the operating room environment and integrates to over 30 different devices across 5 manufacturers.  During his time at Computer Motion, Mr. Tamkin also managed the company’s strategic activities, raising over $50mm in capital and playing a key role in selling Computer Motion to Intuitive Surgical Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRG) in a stock deal now valuing the original company at $750mm. 

Before Computer Motion, Mr. Tamkin worked at the venture capital firm, Robert W. Duggan & Associates.  His prior experience also includes positions with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and Oracle. Mr. Tamkin holds a B.A. in Business/Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he graduated summa cum laude.

James Thornton, Vice President of Engineering, has 20 years of programming and engineering experience in telephony, speech recognition, interactive voice response, and wireless applications.  Most recently, he was Chief Technology Officer for the TeleDynamics Group, where he developed voice response and wireless applications for the medical industry.  Prior to TeleDynamics, he was Director of MIS at Paxson Communications, where he developed an interactive voice response system that provided real-time audio news feeds to over 60 radio stations.  Mr. Thornton also holds several patents in the area of voice response and communications.

Dan Rogers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has over 15 years of business development experience in various technology industries.  Prior to joining Unified Dispatch, Mr. Rogers was Director of Business Development for MJM Innovations, a technology and management company serving the senior, paratransit, and ground transportation industries.  He was responsible for building and managing a new customer base and developing a suite of products and services, including the TaxiCard® and EZ-Transport® systems.  Mr. Rogers played a key role in winning and implementing the Maryland Transportation Administration’s, MTA Mobility, Taxi Access paratransit program which handles over 2000 trips per day.
