Altadena, CA (July 21, 2006)—Unified Dispatch LLC (UDI) and Digital Dispatch Systems Inc. (TSX: DD) have decided to collaborate whereby UDI's UniBook automated booking solution will be available to Digital Dispatch's customers worldwide only through Digital Dispatch.
"UDI's automated interactive voice booking system is one of the most comprehensive products of its kind and complements our applications by extending their capability and making them even more comprehensive," said David Wang, CTO for Digital Dispatch. "This will enable our customers to expedite the call taking process and offer more self-serve call booking options with existing resources."
"This collaboration allows Digital Dispatch to offer its customers our UniBook System, which enables call centers to reduce cost, increase revenues, and improve customer service.Ê For Unified Dispatch, it allows us to access new markets via Digital Dispatch's existing sales channels," stated Dan Tamkin, President of Unified Dispatch.
UniBook allows passengers to order transportation service through a completely automated telephone interface and integrates with your company's existing telephone and dispatch systems in order to act as a ÒcomputerizedÓ call center agent. To utilize UniBook, passengers dial the transportation company's existing phone number and are provided with the choice of reserving a ride automatically or waiting to speak with a live agent. The system asks the caller if they would like to be picked up at the last address on file or lets the caller provide a new pick up address utilizing the latest in voice recognition technology. With UniBook, callers can book transportation service in less than 15 seconds.
UniBook is already successfully deployed at several taxi companies where it seamlessly interfaces with Digital Dispatch's TaxiTrackª application. An interface for Digital Dispatch's PathFinderª product will also be available soon. |
